Costs & savings
What does a heat pump installation cost?
There's no honest single price for every home. Actual installation prices require an assessment of your home.
House size and heating/cooling load
Larger or draftier homes need more capacity. We size equipment using a load assessment rather than rules of thumb.
Equipment type and capacity
Ducted, ductless and hybrid systems differ in equipment and labour.
Existing ductwork
Ducts may be usable as-is, need modifications, or be absent entirely.
Electrical infrastructure
Some homes need a panel upgrade or new circuit.
Existing heating equipment
Keeping a furnace for hybrid operation versus full replacement changes scope.
Installation complexity
Line-set length, unit placement, and access all affect labour.
Available rebates
Incentives may reduce your out-of-pocket cost, subject to program rules.

Will a heat pump lower my energy bills?
It depends on what you heat with today, your home's efficiency, and local electricity and fuel rates. Homes moving off propane, heating oil or electric baseboard often see the largest potential savings. Homes on natural gas may see smaller or variable changes, which is one reason hybrid systems are popular. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your situation.
